WE HAVE A WINNER! 14 entries were received in our contest for kids. Crown Jewels invited youngsters to design a logo for a regular column dedicated to beginning collectors. After all the entries came in, we emailed them to members of the Jefferson State Insulator Club for a vote. Only the logos were sent. Club members receiving the emails were not told names nor ages of the kids who submitted the entries. From those JSIC club members who had email addresses and who responded, the entry by Mindy Michener received the most votes. Camille Zamboni's entry, "Junior Jewels", finished second.

Our son, David, created the electronic version of Mindy's original art, both shown at the top of this page. Mindy will receive the 1st place prize of a CD 257 "Mickey Mouse" insulator. For Camille's delightful entry, Crown Jewels will send her a deep purple CD 154 Whitall Tatum insulator. All the kids who submitted entries will receive prizes, ranging from purple to milk glass to emerald green insulators. On the following pages, Crown Jewels presents all the entries.
