36th MID-OHIO SHOW
Reprinted from "Crown Jewels of the Wire", January 2007, page 43

(Caution - LARGE DOWNLOAD)

The Mid-Ohio show has grown over the years to become an international event in the hobby. Hosted by Steve Blair, Glenn Drummond & Alan Stastny, the show in November filled almost 130 sales tables and drew collectors from as far away as England. Elaine Corriero's write-up about the show begins on page 49. In between, Crown Jewels presents a collage of various photos taken at the event.

The Mid-Ohio show is the place to be if you collect Lightning Rod Insulators. There were several exhibits of LRI's. These are but a sampling of the many excellent exhibits on display. The porcelain insulators at the bottom of the page above are items that had been saved by Fred Locke himself, and then later discarded by a subsequent owner of his home. The "Canadian Boston" exhibit won the award for most educational, and will be featured next month.
