Insulator of the Month
Reprinted from "Crown Jewels of the Wire", November 2005, inside cover

These three Fred M. Locke uniparts are favorites of Linda's and myself, in part because we found them ourselves. They were used on a telephone line that ran on sidepegs below a power line that used classic M-2795's. While collectors harvested the gutter tops decades ago, these small insulators went undetected, hidden under nearly a hundred years worth of accumulated pine needles and leaves until we dug them out.
