Letters to the Editor

Reprinted from "INSULATORS - Crown Jewels of the Wire", August 1970, page 34

From Ed Milner:

The photos are of one that I found in Georgia recently.  It was found on an old house and was used to attach the telephone service drop to the house.  The old service drops were a twisted pair of wires.  The wires were untwisted at the house end and tied around the insulator.  This is the reason for the double groove.  Just thought you might be interested.  The color is icy blue.
